  3. Rolex is also responsible for patenting the self-winding watch. A very handy invention!
  4. The first way to tell time was the sundial, which was invented by the Egyptians.

  6. In 1500 AD, it is said that monks invented the first modern-ish clock. It’s rumored that they invented a clock so that they would know what time to pray.
